I have finally begun skinning the tubular “Superleicht” buck for FF003. This method is proving to work beautifully providing an excellent guide for accurate shaping. Once the skin and tubular skeleton are welded and bonded at the mounting points the joining becomes a tight and rigid structure.
In racing there are few guarantees. But one of those few gaurantees is the battle between power and weight. The “HB Special” was purpose built in the mid 1960’s for SCCA Road Racing. Not much of its history is known. The car landed here at our shop for a new body design.
