RÜNGE Cars is pleased to offer a limited continuation series of 6 "Competition" Flyer commissions for discerning buyers. The Competition package goes back to the roots of RÜNGE FF001 with a minimalistic approach to the build, yet striking all the right chords. Finished in raw brushed* aluminum, the cars hand formed aluminum panel work carries with it the story of its maker everywhere you go. Engine placement is midship creating a nearly perfect weight distribution at all four tires.
Newly built 2332CC air-cooled 160HP Flat 4 Cylinder engine.
Custom built "Sebring" exhaust replicated from the original "Four Cam" system.
Custom RÜNGE made aluminum cooling shroud and RÜNGE cast valve covers, modern charging from 12V alternator supplies power to the cars electrical system.
Braking provided through a classic 5x205 bolt Patterned Disc brake system stopping the 1300LB car quickly and efficiently every time.
Longbox transaxle allows cruising speeds of 70MPH +without hesitation and for track purposes, top speeds in the 120MPH + range.
The "Competition" Flyer features a simple aluminum shell purpose built without doors. Front and rear openings are removable for easy service and maintenance.
Chassis is mild steel 3" main frame with full cockpit surround cage and removable Drivers roll hoop.
Adjustable drivers and fixed passenger seating
Standard Singleman Aluminum Tonneau cover and windscreen, along with the dual seat windscreen.
15" 5x205 Painted Steel wheels are wrapped in period correct Pirelli CN36 Centurato Tires
Each Competition Series comes standard with hand painted number as well has the "Class Stripe" running across the nose of the car.
