Available from the RUNGE Collections. This 1967 BMW R60/2 was converted with a "VMW" Kit in the 70's by the second owner. The conversion is very well done. The conversion replaces the original BMW 2 Cylinder engine with a VW 1600CC 4 Cylinder Engine (Note: Engine does have small oil leak). The conversion utilizes a cast adapter for the VW engine to mate to the BMW Transmission. Aside from the conversion, the bike, fenders, frame, tank, all look to be original paint. Included is the original BMW Numbers matching engine in pieces as it looks to have spun a rod. Also Included is a passenger fender mount seat and rack. The bike has a rare Schorsch Meier Tank with original toolkit and sport seat. The bike runs and drives well and starts fairly easily (It does not have electric start. Takes a few kicks when cold, usually starts first kick when warm). This is not an easy one to let go. It is a beautiful cruiser and always a show stopping conversation piece.
